Weird Week

Hello everyone! :D

I figured that it was time for an update! It's been about two weeks or something since I last posted, so yes, it's definitely time!

This week has been, like, the weirdest one ever. You know how there's those 'normal' weeks, the 'strange' weeks, and then the 'plain out weird' weeks? Well, this week definitely classifies as 'plain out weird'.

It started fully out on Monday. My brothers and I were doing school work, and Mum's got music on somewhere in the house, and then we realise that there was someone knocking at the door. So Mum answers it, and it's one of the neighbours, who then goes on to tell us that someone entered the apartment block and stole one of out bikes.
About ten minutes later after looking at the car space, Mum came up, and I decided to head out and see if I could find the person/the bike. I thought I might find them near by, because they stole the bike that had two completely flat tires, and was kinda small.
Of course, I didn't find it. I spent half an hour walking around, attempting to see if I could find the bike, but whoever had stolen it must've gotten the hell out of the area. But I went to my friend's cafe that was near by and asked if they had seen the bike, because I lot of people stop by there.
They hadn't, but they gave me an old bike of theirs that had been sitting in the cafe for ages. one of the tires was completely dead, and the chain needed fixing, so I wheeled it home and presented it to my brother. (We're fixing it up at the moment!)

And that was the start to what would prove to be my weirdest week in a long time.

The next day I went to the Ballet to see Coppelia, which is now my all time favourite! It was very touching, and very sad at the same time. I got to meet some of the dancers and get my programmed signed, which was really cool!
And then the weird thing. :P
So normally the homeschoolers who go to the ballet are very well behaved. No talking, no running around, jumping on seats, nothing.
This time, however, was very different. There was a family in front of us, who's daughter kept using her phone even when the intermissions were over and the next part of the performance had started. She was very annoying, and I had to stop myself from kicking her seat.
Then there were some girls who kept talking loudly about how people were dressed and how strange some people looked. They were awful.

The next day my brother and I went out busking. So normally busking is a bit strange from time to time, but it's expected.
Anyway, so someone, once I had finished my first round, came up with a bag of food, gave it to me, said that I sounded lovely, then walked off. After that I had this other group of people come up and start overly questioning me on the music I was singing.
I also had this lady attempt to sell me perfume by spraying it on me as I walked past. That was pretty strange. And any way, there was no way she was going to sell me any of that, I hate perfume.

And those were probably the weirdest of the things that happened this week.

I'm also applying for Uni at the moment, which is kinda scary. I still have to get some references and write up my C.V. I still think having to give them my C.V is kinda strange, because I can't see why they'd need it, but oh well.

I've also been invited to do some stiltwalking at various festivals and such around the city, and my first one is in late October. They'll be some of my first 'proper' Circus gigs, which I'm pretty excited about! Not to mention I'm finally getting my own pair of stilts at the end of next week, so I'm super duper hyped for that! I'll definitely have to get some photos and videos of them for you guys.

Well, I have to go, got another post to write up for you guys. :3

Love y'all!

Spinj is a Barista

Hey guys! :D

How are you? :D Have you settled into the holidays now?

Well, yesterday, as my first day of Easter Hols, I went down to Maylands and did a free barista workshop that my Mum found on facebook. :P There was at least one other homeschooled kid there, and the other five there might have been homeschooled too...

Yeah, so, we covered the theory of making an Espresso, and how to use a coffee machine. How to clean the machine, how to steam milk, etc. Once we had covered the theory we split into two groups, and one group went into a back room, and the group I was in went inside the cafe itself and got to work on the machine behind the counter.
So then we steamed milk, made the base of the coffee, and got to make an Latte. A few of us (mainly myself and one other guy) tried to do a fancy pattern, but it didn't work out. I was expecting it to look like this:

But it looked more like this:

After that the lady helping us out said that we could make ourselves a takeaway drink, so I went and made a hot chocolate. :3 I didn't put enough chocolate syrup in, so it was rather weak, but still yummy.
And then after that we all got to ask some questions, and go home. :P

Oh, and we also got certificates! Here's mine:
I can now put it in my certificate folder. :3

And yeah! So now I want to do some more Barista workshops, because this one was really fun and I'd like to learn more about making different types of coffees: like a long black, or a mocha, or a flat white, or maybe a cappuccino.
Hey, maybe I could be a barista in my spare time when I get to Uni...

Well, I gotta go, I have to do some busking today. Catch y'all later!

Wonderful Wednesday

Hello everyone! :D

Wow, that was a random name for my post. xD I'll have to become better at coming up with names for my stuff. xD

Well, I thought I'd tell you all my cool news - or should I? Maybe I should wait until I get more information. :P So here, have a photo:

Haha, lol, that was random too. :P Isn't Jack Dawson cute?? :3

Pardon my fangirling. :P

Anyway, I shall tell you my cool news. :)  Here it is!...

I've been asked to sing at a wedding!

I'm super excited! I haven't been to a wedding since I was... 7, and I've never performed at one! It's going to be pretty nerve wrecking, I'm fairly sure about that. CX

But I don't have any appropriate clothing for such an event, so I'm going to have to either borrow a dress from a friend, or save up and get a new dress. X)

The song I've been asked to sing is "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic. For those who have never heard the song, here's my favourite video version:

I don't think much of the singer - she sounds OK, just not really my style.

But Like I said, Jack is cute. ^~^

Well, I have to go, I have music theory to do before I go busking. See you all later, and have a lovely day!

I'm 15!

Hey Everyone!

Guess what? :D I'm 15! :D I had my birthday during the week. ^-^ Shall I tell you how it went? :)

So I woke up very early. It was about 5 am, I think. Then I just kinda sat around, waiting for the hours to pass by.
About... 4 hours later everyone else was up, and we got to open the presents! No that was exciting. I got a new skirt (pink with blue castles around the edge), a necklace, a blue eyeshadow and a green eyeshadow, and some chocolate. My younger brother Arden says he's getting me a late birthday present, so I still have one to look forward too! :D
After that I had breakfast, then spent the rest of the day doing stuff. I checked the mail (just a parcel for dad), and then sang First Time In Forever and the reprise over and over again.
Then my friend Drew came over, and he wasn't in the house for too long before I whisked both him and Gabriel (another brother) to town. We were headed for Koko Blacks (a really good chocolate shop) but we kept stopping off so I could introduce Drew to all the buskers in town that I know.
We got to Koko Blacks, had a chat to one of my friends (who works there), got free chocolate, then I bought some chocolate, and we left.
Then I literally bumped into my friend, Alexandra - or maybe she bumped into me. Anyway, by the time I noticed her she was nearly on top of me. I then followed Alexandra around for a while with Drew and Gabriel, and we listened to her and her brothers and sister busk.
We had to leave after a while, as Drew, Gabriel and I had to get home in time for dinner.
It was a very good dinner - roasted duck. My grandmother phoned up just as I finished, so I had a chat to her while everyone else finished off their own dinner. Then we had the cake and went to see Les Mis.

Now, I was disappointed with Les Miserables. Hey, it was OK, but nothing what I had expected. The singing was pretty good, but it lacked character. But the set was awesome, there is no other word.
But the first half was the worst. I actually swore.
The second half was much better. I actually shed a few tears, which hadn't been expecting to do. xD

I ended up getting home at about 11:30 PM, and didn't go to bed until about an hour later.

And that was my birthday. :P

Anyway, I had better go in a few minutes to write my other blog post of my LEGO blog. But today is music Monday, so I'd better give you a song! Hmm, how about this one:
Absolutely hilarious. XD It's one of the best song I've ever heard, and the video never fails to make me laugh.

And here are my three newest edits:

I hope you like them. ;)

Catch you later!

Urgh, tired

Hey everyone!

Gee whizz, I'm tired. *Yawns* I swear that my bed is purposely getting harder. It seemed so comfortable a fortnight ago, and now... I'd rather be sleeping on the floor. :P

Well, I'm getting even more excited for NaNoWriMo! :D I wrote a blog post on The Blog Of Poems (which should be called The Blog Of Writing :P) about Preparing for NaNoWriMo. It has tips for planning ahead of time, so that when November you won't be running around like a headless chicken. :P

Well, I must go, I have to do some tidying and school work and then go busking. I'll post up some updates soon.

 Rock On!

Musical Days

Hello everyone! :D

How is everyone? Are you enjoying school? :D I am!

So it's Tuesday! I have a singing lesson at 11 O'clock today, and it should be loads of fun. ^-^  My teacher and I have been rewriting The Fold's song "Crooked Road" so that I can sing it slightly more classically. When that is done we'll get it recorded and put it on SoundCloud. Then I'll email Dan, Matt, George and Mark the link to the song and see if they like it!! ^-^

Then I'll be going busking (for those who don't know what busking is, it's street performing). I need to make $60 for Mum so we can go to see Les Misérables, plus I need to start saving up to go to next year's Homeschool camp, plus I want to get the "Battle for Ninjago City" LEGO set. I have a lot of saving to do! Luckily I have an excellent singing voice and good flute skills.

And when Dad comes home we're practising our parts for the Rose of Persia. I love the role I'm understudying - she has great solos!! I really like the song "Neath my Lattice", it's so lovely and hits high C.

Well, I must go, I have to leave in half an hour so I won't miss the bus, and I have to get ready.

 Have fun everyone!

 Rock On!

The blog is up!

Hallo everyone! :D

So I'm back! The blog is up, and I'm putting together the second post. You can find the blog here:  http://spinjslegoblog.blogspot.com.au/

I went busking yesterday, and it was so much fun! :D My singing is getting much better, and my voice is getting stronger, so it's carrying everywhere! One lady said to me "Your voice is so powerful. I could hear you singing when I was inside the Art Gallery." That gave me a shock!

I've been getting into Loom Bands/ Rainbow Looms. They are so much fun!! At the moment I'm using two forks as a loom for me to work on. I've got over twenty bracelets, one necklace, and several charms! When my camera decides to co-operate I'll post up a picture of my collection.

Well, I must go to the LEGO blog I'm starting. Feel free to comment on there. (as a matter of fact, you can comment on this blog as well!)

 See you all later!

Shtuff :P

Hallo! :D

How are all my lovely followers today? Are you all well?

I've had a pretty busy day yesterday, and I got so excited on Monday!! You see, just after I had made the post below I went to have dinner. Then, while we were eating, Mum said that I can do Ballet. And I was like: "O.O Mum is letting me do ballet?!" So after some talking it was decided that I should look around and find a ballet school.

Yesterday was busy. School work was interrupted by a trip to the city to go busking. I made about $14, but the best part was that someone gave me two packets of loom bands: one with 1000 bands, and another with 100 bands plus some charms. Then I went to the library to find some books.

When I got home I had to finish off school stuff plus help my brother make dinner, because it was getting late. We left at about 5:30 to go to see The Wayward Daughter (a ballet). It was very good, but would've been better if I hadn't been sitting in front of three baboons who thought it would be funny to kick my chair. Kids these days! :P

We went to Jamie's Italian for a drink afterwards.

I drew this a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I should post it up:
