Ninjago Facts

Meet the Ninja: Zane
"How about an Ice escape!" ~ Zane

Name: Zane Julian.

Age: 15, then 16, then 18

Type: Ice Ninja

Zane is the Robotic 'son' of Dr Julian. He was created in the Birchwood Forest, where The Juggernaut protected the Forest and the Treehorns. Zane is the Ninja of Ice.

He is found by Sensei Wu when he is testing himself while underwater, to see how long he could stay under for.

He appears in the first episode of Ninjago (the Pilot Episodes) for a minute just before the episode finishes. However, he makes his full appearance as He, Cole and Jay tackle Kai in Episode 2, the Golden Weapon. After finding out that Kai is to join their group and that they are to find the Golden Weapons, he takes everything in his stride.

In Season One, Rise of the Snakes, Zane's most heart breaking moment is soon after they start looking for the Four Fangbades. He sights the Falcon and chases it, until he loses the other three Ninja and comes to the Birchwood Forest. After single handedly defeating the Juggernaut, the Falcon malfunctions, revealing that it is a robot. Zane notices that the Bird and Robot have the same symbol on them, and were made by the same person. He spots the symbol once again on one of the trees, and finds out that it is a door. After going in and fixing the Falcon, Zane sees the plans for a Robotic human. After realizing that the Robot is him and semi recovering, he opens a flap on his chest to use his Memory switch, which shows him the memories that had been temporarily hidden. When the other Ninja arrive, Zane tells them what he found out, and tells them to go on without him. The Ninja go out, only to be attacked by Treehorns. Zane runs after them just in time to help them out, and as he says "Nothing will hold me back, I know who I am!" he unlocks his True Potential and saves the four Ninja.

On the way to the Island of Darkness the Destiny's Bounty is attacked by Starteeth, a type of fish whose sharp teeth can bight through wood. They arrive at a tower, and are let in by Dr Julian, who is thought to be dead. Dr Julian helps them fix the ship, and Zane uses the Star teeth to let the monster guarding the tower let them (and it) go free. When asked why he did that, Zane replied "No one deserves to be held captive, not even a monster."

While on the Island of Darkness Zane's falcon gets caught by the Stone Army. While he and the other three Ninja are trying to spot the Temple of light he spots his Falcon in the Stone Warrior camp, and goes down to save it, only to be caught in a corner surrounded by Stone Warriors. Cole, Jay and Kai help him out, then they rush back to the hide out to make their way to the Temple of Light.

In the Final Battle Zane is the second Ninja to nearly make it to Top. After being spotted by an Evil Jay and Cole he tells Kai to help Lloyd while he stops the other two. However, as the Finial Battle gets close to finishing, Zane does get turned Evil.

Jay first appears in Episode 1 from the Pilot series (Way of the Ninja) for a second before that episode ends. However he makes his full appearance in Episode 2 the Golden Weapon, when He, Cole and Zane are attacking Kai. He finds out that they have to save Nya, and starts asking so many questions that Kai tells him to back off.
When they are trying to stop the Skulkin from taking the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu to the Underworld Jay gets smacked in mouth, temporarily losing his voice. However, even though he may talk a lot, his voice proves useful when alerting his friends of danger. He becomes the first of the Ninja to learn Spinjitzu.

In the next series his crush on Nya is very apparent, leading him to try to take her on a Date. However, the date fails as Jay slowly turns into a Serpentine and as Nya gets caught bythe Serpentine. But in the end Jay single handedly saves Nya, finds his True Potential at the same time and stops the fangpyre venom.

On the Island of Darkness Jay finds the Temple of Light while Cole is asking how on earth did he become a Ninja. Cole then apologizes to Jay, and tells him that he is a great Ninja, then they save Zane from the Stone Warriors and go to find Sensei Wu, Nya, Misako and Lloyd to tell them about their discovery.
After receiving their full power at the Temple of Light and failing to stop the Count down to the Final Battle, Jay and the Ninja barely survive the fall of a cliff and lose Nya to the Stone Warriors. Heart broken, he follows the other Ninja to their hide out.
As the Ninja run to stop Garmadon from using the Ultimate Weapon, they find Nya - but she's been turned evil. The four Ninja stay behind and keep her bust while Lloyd, Misako and Sensei Wu follow the Garmatron.

Back on Ninjago, as they make their way up to the top of the tower, Jay is the second Ninja to be affected by the Dark Matter. He insists that Zane, Kai and Lloyd leave him and make it to the top.

After a struggle with three other Ninja, he meets them and begins working with them to get the four Weapons of Spinjitzu, although his main goal is to save Nya and go back to the black smithy.

unexpected friend (Dr Julian) on the way. On the Island of Darkness they find the Temple of Light and receive more control over the element, and then focus their elements on Lloyd, making the Green Ninja more powerful than ever.
